West Coast: West coast is a partner dance that is also in six counts. It also descended from Lindy Hop, but is much smoother and less “bouncy” than other styles of dance descended from Lindy Hop. It can be danced to a variety of song styles, but the most common are contemporary, R&B, and Blues.
Lindy Hop: Lindy Hop is an eight-count partner dance. It is the ancestor of many swing dance styles, such as east coast, west coast, shag, jitterbug, and many more!
Line Dances: Line Dances are choreographed sequences that repeat throughout a song. Groups of people all dance together, typically facing the same way.
